Trench hydraulics
ACO can provide accurate channel recommendations with its proprietary software. ‘Hydro’ is a purpose written, hydraulic design program modelled on differential calculus for non-uniform flow in open channels. The program was further refined with empirical data, following a series of experiments modelling lateral intake into trenches.

Grate hydraulics
ACO can provide accurate grate recommendations with its proprietary software. The hydraulic intake capacities of ACO’s grates have been independently measured by experimentation at the UNSW under varying flow rates and catchment approach slopes.

To make specification, ordering and site work easy, ACO can tailor a layout using CAD and other bespoke programs to illustrate (in plan and elevation) required positions and layouts of trench runs. A bill of materials is also produced.

Custom drainage
When standard grates are not appropriate, a number of features can be customised to ensure the unit meets required performance criteria, site or customer requirements.
Above ground storage
ACO provides ponding analysis for situations when temporary ponding can be tolerated. It allows a more economical, yet still efficient system that will perform under most weather conditions.

ACO can design a geocellular stormwater tank to facilitate stormwater retention, detention or infiltration based on the hydraulic, structural and maintenance requirements of the project.

To help you stay abreast of the issues that are associated with the specification of products, ACO offers free education presentations. Some presentations have also been accredited by professional associations such as Engineers Australia (EA), Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) and Architectural Information Services (AIS) and will qualify for CPD points.
Technical Product details
Our websites contain downloadable technical literature, product data sheets, drawings, Revit models, installation drawings and guides.
We are equipped with a NATA certified test laboratory and have access to other test laboratories around Australia. We can provide third party accredited certificates and certificates of compliance on request.
