Support Services for ACO’s Building Drainage Products
ACO has invested heavily to technically support its Building Drainage range of products. Staffed by qualified engineers and equipped with purpose-written computer software, a design service is offered without obligation service or fee and is presented professionally.
ACO’s Technical Services department can offer advice to ensure the correct product is chosen for the application, through to advice on installation.
Linear drainage
Services offered include:
- Hydraulic sizing of channels
ACO can recommend the optimum size channel based on the volume of liquid to be drained whilst taking into account other project specific factors such as plumbing restrictions. ACO uses its bespoke hydraulic ‘Hydro’ program to assist with calculations. This is a free service and results are provided either electronically (PDF) and/or in printout format. - Hydraulic sizing of grates
ACO has independently measured, by experimentation, the hydraulic intake capacities of all ACO grates. The Grating Intake Calculator (GIC) provides information on the intake efficiency of the chosen grate. If the required liquid intake is greater than the grate’s performance, the extent of bypass (or failure) will be calculated. Grease separator sizing
Grease traps are sized in Australia based on guidance from the local water authority.
However, for grease traps that need to comply to EN 1825, ACO offers a DIY sizing service.
